Appearance: Hanji doesn't look particularly female or male, and stands at 5'6''. She wears square silver glasses that frame her brown eyes, which matches her brown hair, always tied up into a loose ponytail. Generally, she wears the standard Survey Corps uniform, with a green poncho that has wings on the back, signifying the Survey Corps. She wears a half-jacket under it, which is brown and has the same symbol on the back, and under that, a white button up shirt and tan pants, along with black riding boots and straps for the 3DMG.

Personality:
Hanji can be seen as very strange. She takes a very strange perspective on anything that might actually harm her, and is always a bit too willing to stick her hand into the fire. Of course, she always ends up just fine and as perky as ever, but she ends up scaring a lot of people in the process. She's very curious, always asking questions. She has a penchant for the unknown, and almost a fetish for them too, even going so far as to sympathize with the things that would normally terrify people.
That's not to say she's dumb or completely reckless, however. She's very smart, and she knows when to back off. She's very fond of her subordinates and her subjects, and to anyone that hurts them or tries to? Woe on them. Despite her very happy and rather non-threatening personality, she does lead her own squad, and is ready to kill if that's what's needed for humanity, even if it is the things she wants to study most.
But, if you're not a thing she wants to study or a person she wants to kill she's....still pretty weird. She's super friendly right off the bat, and really respectful, too. She's not as hyper as she is about her subjects, but if you get her talking on Titan? Oh, you'll be up all night. Her passions rule her, and they are her favorite subjects. Good luck if you ever get her talking about anything else.
